Subaru has announced pricing and specifications for the 2021 Impreza that will arrive in the United States in October.
Priced from $18,795, excluding a $925 destination charge ($1,075 in Alaska), it represents a $100 premium over its predecessor. The lineup includes a total of four trim levels available in two body styles, sedan and hatch.
All Impreza models with the Lineartronic CVT come with Subaru’s EyeSight safety gear, while the base Standard trim includes a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4.2-inch color LCD and keyless entry.

New for the 2021MY is the SI-Drive performance management system, which is standard in the Impreza Premium and brings two selectable driving modes that change the character of the engine. This model also features a slightly updated version of the 6.5-inch touchscreen display, StarLink Safety and Security gear, All-Weather Package with heated windshield, side mirrors and front seats, plus fog lamps.
The five-door hatch has standard roof rails and the range can be further expanded with an option pack that adds the power moonroof, keyless entry with push-button start, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat and blind-spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert.
The 2021 Impreza Sport meanwhile has a tuned-suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, active torque vectoring, keyless entry&go, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift lever, aluminum pedals and an 8-inch infotainment system.
Finally, the Limited boasts LED headlights and DRLs, a leather-trimmed interior and all of the above-mentioned gear, including the bigger screen for the infotainment system, automatic climate control and SI-Drive. An option pack unlocks the TomTom sat-nav, Harman Kardom premium audio system and the power moonroof.
Powering the 2021 Impreza is the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine, rated at 152 HP (154 PS / 113 kW) and 145 lb-ft (197 Nm) of torque. The unit is mated to a five-speed manual transmission in the entry-level versions and 5-door Sport grade, and a CVT with a manual mode in the rest – whereas the all-wheel drive system is included across the range.
