Ford’s fully-electric Mustang Mach-E GT has finally been unveiled in Europe, where it will go on sale in late 2021. According to the Blue Oval, nothing in its class accelerates faster than the Mach-E GT.
European buyers placing orders this year and in 2021 will receive five years of free access to the FordPass Charging Network which now includes more than 155,000 charge stations across Europe. Customers will also receive one year of free access to the IONITY fast-charging network.
“The new Mustang Mach-E GT shows what all-electric performance really looks like, but performance counts for nothing without the confidence to use it. Our charging initiatives mean Mustang Mach-E customers can enjoy the electrified Mustang driving experience with the knowledge that they can recharge quickly and easily across Europe,” said Ford of Europe boss, Stuart Rowley.

The Mach-E GT features a dual-motor powertrain that delivers 458 HP (465 PS) and 612 lb-ft (830 Nm) of torque, for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration equal to that of a Tesla Model Y (3.7 sec), says the carmaker. Thanks to its standard 88 kWh extended-range battery, the Mach-E GT claims a WLTP electric range of up to 310 miles (500 km).
Meanwhile, the bespoke spec aimed at EU buyers includes the MagneRide adaptive suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, red-painted calipers and unique exterior colors such as Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange. Inside, there’s a 15.5-inch full HD display, Ford Performance seats and a unique steering wheel with suede inserts.
At the same press release Ford also announced the standard Mustang Mach-E variant, which boasts an extended-range battery and all-wheel drive. It can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.1 seconds (like a Model Y Long Range) and travel up to 335 miles (540 km) on a single charge.
