A Jordan Formula 1 car driven by two-time Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato is currently available at auction in the UK.
This particular Jordan EJ12 is chassis number 1 and was first driven by Sato at Silverstone in January 2002 in preparation for the forthcoming season. It was later unveiled to the world on February 20th. It is also thought to be one of just five examples that remains in existence and chassis #4, which Sato secured a 5th place with, is currently on display at the Honda museum and unlikely to ever be sold.

Interestingly, the EJ12 is fully operational but it is no longer powered by the Honda F1 engine it once had because, according to The Market, Honda removed the engine before the car was first sold privately. Sitting in its placeis a Judd KV8 S3000 Formula 3000 engine that is mated to a five-speed Lola/Hewland transmission with pneumatic paddle shift.
The racer was first released for sale by Jordan as a rolling chassis in 2004 and has been part of the collection of a Swedish owner for the past seven years. While under his possession, it has toured Europe and made appearances at various race events, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed back in 2016.
Adorning the exterior is the same livery the car had at the Suzuka Grand Prix of October 2002. Its front wing was damaged by the previous owner but was soon replaced with a new one.
