AC Schnitzer first presented its aerodynamic and styling mods for the G30 BMW 5-Series back in 2017, offering buyers a multitude of interior and exterior tweaks, such as custom spoilers, side skirts and much more.
Fast forward three years and BMW has already updated the G30 and G31 5-Series, which means the German tuner also had to go back to the drawing board with some of its designs.
Some of the mods are already finished, while others are still under development, so let’s start with the former.
For starters, AC Schnitzer will take the M550 xDrive variant from 530 PS (522 HP) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque to 620 PS (611 HP) and 840 Nm (620 lb-ft). The 540i meanwhile can be boosted from 333 PS (328 HP) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) to 400 PS and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft).

Visually, you can opt for the twin sports tailpipes with either Carbon Sport or Sport trims for the 540i, while the 520d, 530d and 540d get Quad Sport trims. The tuner will also install its spring kit, bringing the midsize premium sedan (or wagon) closer to the road by approximately 30 mm (1.18 inches) on all models except hybrids, for now.
Available aero components include side skirts and a rear diffuser for models with the M Sport package, plus a rear roof spoiler for the Sedan and a roof wing for the G31 Touring. Furthermore, there are seven different wheel combinations to choose from, with diameters ranging from 19 inches to 21 inches on either AC1 or AC3 model alloys.
As for the interior, novelties include aluminum shift paddles for models with the 8-speed Steptronic gearbox, aluminum pedals and foot rest, an aluminum cover for the iDrive controller and a keyholder for all models.
As for the parts that aren’t quite ready yet, they include the front splitter, carbon fiber front spoiler elements, twin sport rear silencer for the M550i and performance upgrades for the 530d and 540d.
