The driver of a BMW X5 in Poland has been caught on dashcam slamming into the side of a scooter and trying to flee the scene. It is unclear when this clip was filmed, but it was only just shared on YouTube.
As the cammer drives along a two-lane road, an individual can be seen riding a scooter roughly 100 feet up the road. Look through the window of the small silver Kia Rio driving in front of the cammer and you will notice a black BMW X5 driving next to the scooter.

Shortly after passing through an intersection, the driver of the BMW veers into the path of the scooter, slamming into its side. The force of the impact throws the scooter rider to the ground and the their head can be seen slamming into the pavement. Fortunately, they were wearing a helmet and can be seen moving after the crash. Had the rider not had a helmet, they probably would have been had suffered a head injury – or worse…
Despite clearly hitting the scooter, the X5 driver shows no signs of pulling over and continues to drive. That’s where two good Samaritans come in. The dashcam footage shows a vehicle driving in front of the BMW braking in the center of the road, forcing the X5 driver to also slam on the brakes. The driver of the silver Kia then comes to a stop next to the BMW, effectively blocking the X5 and preventing the driver from trying to flee.
Here’s hoping that local authorities were called to the scene and had a word or two with the BMW’s driver.
