Is Ford going to bow to pressure from enthusiasts and offer the new Bronco Sasquatch Package with a manual transmission?
While enthusiasts around the world were enamored with the new Bronco as soon as it was unveiled, many have complained about Ford’s decision to not offer the available Sasquatch Package with a manual transmission. In fact, even a petition was created asking for a stick shift to be offered for all Bronco models. It appears the automaker may be listening.

A host of Bronco prototypes recently underwent testing in Moab, Utah and one particular prototype caught the eyes of Bronco Nation. The website had the opportunity to test out some of the Broncos and one of them was a Bronco Badlands model with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder and a manual transmission.
Interestingly, Bronco Nation has since discovered that Ford went on to test this very same Bronco prototype but seemingly equipped with the Sasquatch Package. The publication notes that a sticker on the top of the windshield confirms that the Badlands model it previewed is the same prototype as the one recently spotted with the Sasquatch Package. In fitting the Sasquatch Package, Ford’s engineers installed the large 35-inch tires with beadlock-capable wheels and also removed the fender flares. It’s also believed some suspension modifications have been made.
As it stands, those you want a 2021 Bronco with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder and the Sasquatch Package, have to opt for the 10-speed automatic. Bronco models with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 are also only offered the automatic. If Ford does indeed offer the manual for 2.3-liter Sasquatch Package models, it will certainly please many customers.
