If you’re a fan of the BMW M3 and M4 performance models and are less than impressed with the looks of the 2021MYs this used M3 Convertible might just tickle your fancy.
Currently listed up for auction at Bring A Trailer, this M3 Convertible is a 2001 model and has 37,000 miles (~59,500 km) on the clock. While it may be 20 years older than the new M3, it could very well be even more desirable.
The listing reveals the car was sold new by The BMW Store of Cincinnati, Ohio, and was acquired by the selling dealer in August. It is being sold at no reserve in Marietta, Georgia with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, tire inflation and tool kits, a clean Carfax report and a clean Ohio title.

The bodywork is painted in Imola Red II and the standard 18-inch wheels are wrapped in 225/45 front and 255/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. The black convertible top looks to be in good condition, and while the paint has a few small imperfections, it looks alright.
Inside, the M3 Convertible is clad in black Nappa leather upholstery with matching plastics and carpets, as well as high-gloss black trim across the dashboard, center console and door panels. It is also equipped with power-adjustable and heated front seats, automatic climate control and a Harmon Kardon sound system with a BMW Business CD player.
Powering the E46 M3 is a naturally aspirated, 3.2-liter inline-six with individual throttle bodies and VANOS variable valve timing. This engine is good for 333 hp and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
