Lorinser is bringing back an old wheel design from the 1980s to help you up the visual game of your old Mercedes with respect to its classic status.
The new Lorinser LO wheels are a one-piece design, except for the outer rim, featuring a polished lip. The new alloy rims are suitable for a wide range of models from that period, including the W123, S123, W201 190E, W124/S124 E-Class, W116/W126 S-Class, and of course the pictured R107/C107 SL.

Measuring 8x16in at the front and 9x16in at the rear, the new Lorinser LO wheels give a more dynamic, yet period-correct, look to the classic Mercedes SLC. Different sizes are available, with prices starting from 547 euros per unit (around $650 in current exchange rates).
The R107 generation Mercedes SL was offered between 1971 and 1989, the longest production run of any SL in the history of the brand. Mercedes even offered a dedicated hard-top SLC version, commonly referred to as SL Coupe, for 10 years, which is the model pictured here.
This was basically the S-Class Coupe of its era and, to this day, remains the only fixed-roof coupe from Mercedes that’s based on a convertible. The SLC also featured a longer wheelbase than the standard SL, making the rear bench usable for humans, unlike the convertible.
The specific example is an extensively refurbished SLC 350 fitted with a 3.5-liter V8 and an automatic transmission. It has covered 132,000 km (82k miles) and comes with a black-and-white houndstooth interior. Lorinser is currently offering for sale, priced at 42,900 euros ($50,800 in current exchange rates).
