Following the recent launch of the Ram 1500 TRX, it seems car manufacturers have a renewed interest in launching rugged, off-road variants of existing pickup trucks. The Great Wall Black Bullet is one of the most over-the-top, off-road-oriented pickups you’re ever likely to come across and is currently on display in Beijing.
The Black Bullet appears to be based on the Great Wall Pao but features a multitude of striking exterior and interior upgrades that make it stand out. As the name implies, it is finished in a shade of matte black that’s contrasted by various orange accents.

The changes on Great Wall’s pickup truck start with a bespoke front bumper that not only looks tough but would help to improve the truck’s off-roading credentials. In addition, the Black Bullet has a new hood with a large air intake.
The Black Bullet also sports black wheels with mud terrain tires, a snorkel, LED light bar on the roof and flared wheel arches. Great Wall has also worked extensively on the rear of the pickup with the fitment of a new bumper, a winch, tow hooks, and chrome tailpipes. There is also a large contraption over the bed that houses a spare wheel.
Modifications continue in the cabin, where there is black and white quilted leather across the seats, door panels and dashboard, as well as orange accents.
While the concept does look impressive, it remains unclear if Great Wall intends to bring the Black Beast into production.
