The online configurator for the 2021 BMW 4-Series Coupe is finally online in the United States, allowing window shoppers to choose between the 430i and 430i xDrive versions of the two-door premium coupe as well as the M440i xDrive.
We went for the fastest version of the range – until the new M4 arrives – which has a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine that produces 382 HP and propels it from rest to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds.

The starting $58,500 MSRP of the M440i xDrive Coupe jumps to $60,450 after choosing the Tanzanite Blue Metallic paint. Other colors available include the $1,950 Dravit Grey Metallic and $550 Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Portimao Blue and Arctic Race Blue, while the Alpine White is the sole standard shade. Different 18- and 19-inch wheels are also available.
Next, you will have to decide what color you want for the interior, with the automaker offering Canberra Beige/Black, Tacara Red, Black with contrast stitching, Mocha, Oyster and Cognac leather upholstery, for $1,450 each. Choosing between the wood ash, wood oak, aluminum or aluminum tetragon trims will not bump the price, but you may want to pay attention to the options, as that’s where things can get out of hand.
With every box ticked, “our” M440i xDrive Coupe ended up costing $72,575. Good thing then that you do not have to pay a dime to configure your ideal 2021 4-Series using the online tool found here. So how would you spec yours? Feel free to share your builds in the comments section below.
