It’s been reported that Lincoln will unveil a new Special Edition package for the 2021 Navigator Black Label, the range-topping variant of the luxury SUV.

According to Ford Authority, the Special Edition pack will add a body-color mesh grille, plus body-colored mirror caps to go with a blacked-out roof and roof rails. Other exterior features will include 22-inch Ebony Black wheels with a 12-spoke design.

One catch is that buyers will have to wait some more before placing their order and taking delivery, since the package won’t be made available until later on in the model year – so not as soon as the 2021 Navigator goes into production.

There’s also a second catch, namely that the Special Edition pack won’t be available with the Infinite Black exterior color, meaning that if you want a fully blacked-out Navigator, you’ll need to get the Monochromatic Package that Lincoln unveiled last year.

Thankfully, you will be able to get the Special Edition pack with every other exterior color on the 2021 Navigator Black Label, applicable to both the regular model as well as the extended-length variant.

Lincoln Navigator sales are down 26% to 6,575 units in the first half of 2020 compared to the same period last year, as per Carsalesbase. Thing is, that’s not a particularly low number seen as how it’s not that far off the Range Rover. Percentage-wise, it also makes for a smaller dip than what Cadillac had to endure with the Escalade.

Currently, the 2020 Navigator is priced from $76,185, although if you want the flagship Black Label spec, that’ll be a minimum of $97,135.
