Following a preview last week, Lynk & Co has introduced the Zero concept at the Beijing Auto Show.
As promised, the automaker released new details about the car including the fact that it has multiple electric motors. This gives the concept all-wheel drive as well as a combined output of 536 hp (400 kW / 544 PS). That’s a lot of power for a small hatchback and it enables the car to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than four seconds.
Lynk & Co was tight-lipped about the battery, but said it provides a range of 435 miles (700 km) in the NEDC cycle. The company also said the battery resists degradation for at least 124,274 miles (200,000 km) and is designed to last 1,242,742 miles (2,000,000 km). The latter figure is “much higher than competitors,” but it remains unclear how much range would be affected at that point.

Speaking of performance, Lynk & Co said the Zero has world-class chassis tuning, a low center of gravity and a 50:50 weight distribution. This means drivers can expect the “ultimate dynamic driving experience.”
The model also has a height-adjustable air suspension, adaptive damping and a CoPilot semi-autonomous driving system. Other highlights include over-the-air updates, a customizable ambient lighting system and Yamaha speakers.
While a lot of questions remain, Lynk & Co has already confirmed the Zero will go into production next year. The road-going model will ride on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) which was created specifically for electric vehicles. The platform will be shared among various Geely-owned brands as well as with outside automakers.
