Rare 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition Is Just The Latest Being Sold

Ford will continue production of the GT until 2022, but those looking to pick up the keys to the Blue Oval’s supercar don’t need to wait until then, as long as they are willing to pay a premium.

During a Mecum Auctions event in Las Vegas running from November 12-14, a 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition will be auctioned off. It is just the latest of many 2018 models to hit the market after its two-year resale restriction period has expired.

Ford introduced the ’67 Heritage Edition to commemorate the all-American team win at Le Mans with drivers Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt. This particular GT has its engine coil cover signed by both Gurney and Foyt, which makes it truly an one-off.

Elsewhere, the supercar has been equipped with the available titanium exhaust and sits on a set of 20-inch forged aluminum wheels with black lug nuts. Other key aspects include the Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Race Red paint with White stripes and Frozen White no. 1 graphics, and Ebony leather-wrapped carbon fiber seats with red accent stitching. Mecum is also auctioning the car with two personalized car covers, one of which is still new in the box.

As this is a 2018 model, its twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 produces 647 hp and 550 lb-ft (746 Nm) of torque and is mated to a seven-speed Getrag dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels.

Used 2018 Ford GTs have been trading hands for over $1 million, and we expect no different for this one.
