Police have been in the news for the wrong reasons, but the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has shared a lighthearted video about a deputy who came face-to-face with a furry vandal.
According to the department, the deputy went to a residence to serve some “civil papers.” This isn’t unusual, but she got a surprise when she returned to her Dodge Charger.
As she’s walking back to the car, she notices a goat has gotten inside and has started eating some of her paperwork. The deputy opens the passenger side door and tries to get the goat out of the car.

The goat isn’t interested in leaving, so she goes to the driver’s side and smacks the goat on the rear while saying get out. Since the goat is more interested in the eating paper, the deputy walks back to the passenger side and grabs as much paper as she can. The deputy then attempts to push the goat out of the car.
The goat finally leaves, but is still munching on some paper. The deputy eventually grabs the paper from the goat’s mouth, but the goat isn’t happy about this and knocks her to the ground. Thankfully, the deputy was okay and appears to have a sense of humor about the situation.
While the deputy wasn’t expecting a goat to jump into her cruiser, the Sheriff’s Office said she visits a number of houses everyday and leaves the door open because she often has to “retreat” from vicious dogs.
