Not long after it was announced that Spyker will make a long-overdue return to the automotive market, we’ve found a rather special 2006 Spyker C8 Spyder currently available through an online auction.
This particular Spyker C8 Spyder is one of just 94 vehicles that the automaker built in 2006. It currently resides in Dallas, Texas and is being sold with just 1,300 miles (2,092 km) on the clock alongside a copy of its Certificate of Origin, maintenance records, an owner’s manual, factory tools, a car cover, a clean Carfax report and a clean Texas title.

The exterior is made of aluminum bodywork and this C8 is a Wide Body Specification model. It is painted Royal Blue and the Bring A Trailer listing notes that the original dark blue soft top remains in shrink wrap and hasn’t been used. In September 2019, the previous owner spent $11,000 having the paint corrected, a ceramic coating applied, and a paint-protection film fitted. The wheels were also restored and the interior was professionally cleaned and protected.
Powering the car is an Audi-sourced 4.2-liter V8 that’s good for 400 hp and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. It sends its power to the rear wheels courtesy of a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker reveals the car had a retail price of $296,90,5 and it will be interesting to see if the listing reaches anywhere near that sum.
