After last month’s drag race between a Rolls-Royce Wraith and a tuned Lamborghini Urus, Hennessey has now pitted the British luxury two-door coupe against the new C8 Corvette.
Mind you, they may both have the same number of doors and wheels, but beyond that, things are wildly different. For one, the Wraith, which has been around since 2013 and shares its platform with the previous BMW 7-Series, weighs almost 5,500 lbs (2.5 tons).

The Wraith uses a twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 that kicks out 624 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. It will run out of breath at 155 mph (250 km/h), and can do the 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds, according to the official numbers posted by the Goodwood company.
On the other hand, the C8 generation of the American sports car has weight on its side, as it tips the scales at just a little over 3,300 lbs (1.5 tons). Unlike the Rolls, it has a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive configuration and is much quicker from nought to 60 mph (0-96 km/h), needing less than 3 seconds, with a 194 mph (312 km/h) top speed. With the optional Z51 pack, the 6.2-liter V8 pumps out 495 HP and 470 pound-feet (637 Nm) of torque.
To better highlight the difference between the two cars, Hennessey, which is behind this drag race, put them against each other from a 30 mph (48 km/h) rolling start, whereas the second run saw the C8 take off while the Wraith was passing it.
