Vauxhall’s iconic griffin logo has been redesigned for the digital age, moving away from its 3D metallic texture in favor of something more minimalist, not unlike what VW did with their logo.

The new logo, together with the recently announced Vauxhall Vizor (integrating the grille, headlights and logo into a single module) are set to become the new face of the brand as far as the exterior is concerned. Inside, new Vauxhalls will feature the Pure Panel digital displays.

You can see the entire thing come together on the all-new 2021 Vauxhall Mokka, and yes, everything we just said applies to the Opel variant as well, with the German carmaker debuting their redesigned ‘Blitz’ logo back in July.

“The bold yet simple redesigns reinforce Vauxhall’s position as a confidently British brand. Constantly evolving and innovating, the brand continues to reinvent itself, with these most recent updates a reflection of Vauxhall’s commitment to ingenious design and modernisation,” said Vauxhall Motors exec, Stephen Norman. “While retaining its most iconic elements, the contemporary, minimal aesthetic had been created to seamlessly match our forthcoming models.”

The new logo features a sleek new griffin which unlike before doesn’t come with a wing and the word ‘Vauxhall’ across the top. The logo also features the brand’s idiosyncratic bright red color, together with a deep blue lettering underneath so as to underline Vauxhall’s identity as a British brand (since 1903).

The all-new Vauxhall Mokka and Mokka-e are due for release in 2021.
