Remember that camouflaged Volvo P1800 test car we showed you back in July? Well, as it turns out the carmaker’s racing division, Cyan Racing, will reveal the mystery car tomorrow, September 2.

Cyan Racing has been teasing the special P1800 for the past few weeks under the #CyanTribute across its social media channels and today has released a short video with the reveal date.

Back in July, we speculated that the fully camouflaged Volvo P1800 could be a battery-electric restomod but shortly after we received information that this might not be the case.

The test car, which you can see for a brief moment on the teaser video, featured wider fenders and a set of bigger wheels and tires while Cyan Racing’s teaser images reveal that the whole bodywork is now made out of carbon fiber and the wheels are motorsport-grade center-locking items.

We still don’t know if the car will be presented under the Volvo or Polestar brand name but reports suggest the latter.

In addition, the car in question is registered as a red 1964 example currently owned by Cyan Racing’s head of engine development Mattias Evensson. The car was previously owned by the racing division’s CEO Jonas Christian Dahl. This special P1800 has been with Cyan Racing for quite some time now.

2021 will mark the 60th anniversary for the iconic Volvo P1800, and honestly, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate the occasion. The classic Volvo is a 2+2 coupe that became famous in the 1960s thanks to its participation in the hit TV series “The Saint”, with Roger Moore sitting behind the wheel.
