Family cars are dull to drive, right? Well, not all of them – and if you go for a full-on performance version, like the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant, then you’re in for a treat.
At £95,440 ($123,216) in the United Kingdom and $109,900 in the States, the super executive estate offers all the space and practicality of the normal versions plus things such as all-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension, on top of the permanent all-wheel drive and optional ceramic brakes.

The 2020 RS6 Avant has 591 HP (600 PS / 441 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque courtesy of its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. The mild-hybrid unit enables it to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds and all reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h), or 190 mph (306 km/h) if the customer has Audi Sport lift the speed limiter.
Now, as Chris Harris acknowledged after driving the new RS6 Avant as part of Top Gear’s Series 29, Episode 3 that aired over the weekend, a quick Audi is nothing new. However, this one is actually fun to drive on the racetrack too, and can also drift like a champ.
