Last month, Dacia unveiled the all-new 2021 Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway, yet no mention was made of the MCV variant, which has been in production ever since the first-gen car came out.
Now, Dacia is either delaying the unveiling of the all-new MCV, or perhaps they’re ditching it altogether, although we’re inclined to believe it’s the former scenario since it wouldn’t be the first time the MCV came out after the Sedan.
Compared to the latter, the real Logan MCV has a longer wheelbase, which is something X-Tomi didn’t take into account while penning this rendering. Otherwise, he did a good job of redesigning the rear end to create an estate and the overall result is relatively pleasing to look at.

Dacia’s styling team did a solid job themselves while updating the brand’s design language. Sure, it’s nothing radical, but now there are more lines and creases, pronounced wheel arches, more aerodynamic mirrors, new door handles (instead of the old pull-up ones) and of course a brand new front fascia with sleeker headlights and modern graphics.
Looking at the old MCV next to this rendering of a new one is quite revealing in the sense that it makes the real car look antiquated. Then again, the new design language isn’t quite as modern as some might think – one look at an old fourth-gen Renault Clio Sport Tourer should convince you.
Logan Pickup anybody?
Back in 2007, Dacia also unveiled a pickup variant of the Logan based on the MCV. The model was also sold in South Africa as the Nissan NP200, where it is still available to this date.
In most markets, though, it was discontinued long ago, partly because of the arrival of the Dokker in 2012 as both a panel van as well as a LAV (leisure activity vehicle). It’s safe to say Dacia isn’t going to sell you a 2021 Logan pickup any time soon, but, hypothetically speaking, a new model would represent a massive upgrade over the original.
