The all-new Genesis G80 has launched in Australia with a starting price of AU$84,900 (~US$60,000).

Two variants of the 2021 G80 will be available Down Under. Sitting at the base of the range is the 2.5T model powered by the company’s all-new 2.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 300 hp (224 kW) and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque, which is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels.

The G80 2.5T comes as standard with 19-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, a panoramic sunroof, powered hands-free boot, genuine leather, wood-finished trim and a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also has the Genesis Active Safety Control suite of technologies that includes a multi-function Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance-Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go and a Surround View Monitor with 3D function.

Slotting above the 2.5T in the range is the flagship G80 3.5T AWD. It uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 375 hp (279 kW and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque and comes exclusively with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This variant gets the Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension with advanced Road Preview technology, as well as five-spoke 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Both the 2.5T and 3.5T are available with a Luxury Package. This consists of a Nappa leather interior, suede headliner and pillars, a 12.3-inch 3D instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, soft-close doors, an 18-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with massage functions, and the Intelligent Front-Lighting System with matrix-type headlights.
