The Audi TT RS may not be the most imposing sports car to look at, but it offers superb performance – and for those looking to eke out some added grunt, is also relatively easy to tune.
As standard, the 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder of the TT RS churns out 400 hp. All of this power is sent through a Quattro all-wheel drive system mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, launching the car off the line in 3.7 seconds, a figure that was supercar territory just a few years ago.

Clearly not satisfied with this type of acceleration, the owner of this particular TT RS has made a host of significant modifications, upping power to over 800 hp. This video from AutoTopNL fails to detail the alterations that have been made to the powertrain but does mention a “huge turbo.”
Off the line, this thing is an absolute weapon. Running down a half-mile course with some moisture on the start line, it immediately spins up all four tires as it struggles to put its power to the ground. The driver is forced to countersteer to hold the slide and only momentarily lifts off the throttle before flooring the accelerator once again and hitting a GPS-indicated 268 km/h (166 mph).
A look at the timing gear used during the run shows the tuned TT RS needed just 2.87 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) despite the traction issues. It then ran from 100 km/h to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 4.33 seconds and completed the quarter-mile in 9.85 seconds.
