A teaser image reportedly showing electric car manufacturer NIO’s next model has surfaced online.
This photo is said to have been lifted from the NIO smartphone application and shows the front fascia of a concept car known as the EE7. This concept is said to provide the world with a preview of NIO’s upcoming flagship sedan that will be presented at the NIO Day event to be held in Chengdu, China on January 9, 2021.
While it is unclear how closely the production model will resemble this concept, it’s hard to deny that the EE7 concept is quite a looker. Up froant it sports a set of angular headlights, large air intakes and a sculpted hood. We can also see slim wing mirrors and a large glass roof that promises to give the car’s cabin an airy and spacious feel.

According to CnTechPost, which recently snapped a photo of a camouflaged EE7 prototype wrapped in a car cover, the sedan will be built on the company’s latest-generation NP2 platform and will allegedly go on sale in 2022 with a Level 4 driver assistance system.
Consumer interest in NIO has been renewed over the past six months, with the company’s share price jumping from $2.40 in late March to a peak of over $28 in the middle of October. It’s not just the company’s share price that has soared, though, but its deliveries too.
In February, the automaker delivered just 707 new vehicles. However, that figure soared to 1,533 deliveries in March, 3,155 in April, 3,436 in May, 3,740 in June, 3,533 in July, 3,965 in August and, in September, hit a peak of 4,708.
