One would think that spending more than $300,000 on an Italian exotic might be enough incentive for owners to drive carefully in public and not put themselves in precarious situations.

Unfortunately for himself and his ultra-expensive supercar, the person behind the wheel of this right-hand drive Ferrari 812 Superfast in the UK seems to have done something even some of the world’s most experienced drivers would hesitate to do: turn off the car’s traction control on a public road.

If that’s the case, it certainly explains what happened once the driver hit the throttle after making a left turn onto a bridge.

By the looks of things, he must have really planted his foot down, otherwise the car wouldn’t have fishtailed the way it did in a straight line – you can even hear the naturally aspirated, 789 HP V12 briefly hitting its rev limiter around the 26-second mark.

What makes it worse is the fact that the driver did what he did while overtaking somebody on an electric scooter. Then, while sliding towards the other side of the bridge, the Ferrari came dangerously close to taking out a man on a bicycle.

Thankfully it didn’t make contact with anyone. Unfortunately for the driver, however, the sliding 812 did hit the curb and probably the guardrail, which triggered the airbags to go off.
