Ford’s limited edition Mustang Mach 1 is making its European debut at Goodwood SpeedWeek as the best-handling Mustang ever offered to buyers in Europe.
The Mach 1 is also the first production Mustang in Europe available with a TREMEC six-speed manual, although customers can also opt for a 10-speed automatic featuring an upgraded oil-cooler and recalibrated software for better overall performance.
Power comes from a specially-calibrated 460 PS (453 HP) 5.0-liter V8 engine, which is nearly 30 HP less than what you get with the U.S. spec or even AU-spec variants.

The Mustang Mach 1 announces its performance credentials through its bold hood and side stripes, performance-derived body styling and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. Buyers can choose between eight body color, stripe and contrast-line combinations, echoing the design of the iconic Mach 1 Mustangs of the 1960s and 1970s.
Combos include Fighter Jet Grey with Satin Black/Reflective Orange stripes; Iconic Silver, Shadow Black and Oxford White with Satin Black/Red stripes, or Velocity Blue, Twister Orange, Race Red and Grabber Yellow with Satin Black/White stripes.
Each individual Mustang Mach 1 is numbered with a distinctive plaque as per its build order.
“The original Mach 1 delivered the ultimate in production Mustang performance and proved itself with success in motorsport,” said Mustang Mach 1 chief program engineer for Europe, Matthias Tonn. “The new Mach 1 is the most capable Mustang ever to reach Europe, with track-ready ability and a unique style that is more than worthy of wearing such a legendary badge.”
As for the interior, there’s an Ebony color scheme and Dark Engine aluminum detailing, while the leather sports seats boast Metal Grey stitching. Meanwhile, the likes of heated and cooled front seats, SYNC3 connectivity, a premium 12-speaker B&O system and FordPass Connect are all standard.
Specific European pricing and availability will be revealed at a later date.
