A Mercedes-Benz C230 has been destroyed by fire after a crash on the SB I-25 freeway in San Bernardino, California, and the entire incident was captured on dashcam.
Footage shared online shows the red Mercedes aggressively swerving in front of the car with the dashcam. Evidently, the driver had lost control of the Merc and slammed into a concrete median on the freeway.

The force of the impact sent the C230 careening across the freeway before it smashed into another concrete median, this time on the right side of the road. This second impact was even more violent than the first and triggered some kind of leak that caused the Mercedes to immediately burst into a ball of flames. It then rolled to a gradual stop on the side of the road, and the video ends when the cammer pulled over to assess the scene.

The individual who posted this footage on Reddit says that his cousin was the cammer and, after the crash, spoke with four young individuals in their 20s who were in the C230. The Redditor claims the individuals “reeked of alcohol and weed” and quickly fled the scene on foot.
While the fire may appear only briefly in the video, images since shared online by the San Bernardino County Professional Firefighters Local 935 page on Facebook reveal the C230 again caught fire and local firecrews attended the scene and doused it in water. While those inside apparently escaped without series injuries, the car has been destroyed.
It remains unclear if authorities have managed to track down the driver or passengers of the Mercedes.
