If Honda decides to sell a Si variant of the next-generation Civic, this is probably what it’ll look like.
Not too long ago, patent images of the new Civic hatchback and sedan leaked online, revealing a car that looks noticeably larger than the outgoing Civic. Eager to see how this new design could be tweaked for the inevitable Si model, designer KDesign AG has created these two renderings.

The current Si is sold in both sedan and coupe guises and these renderings show the next iteration in sedan form. The front of the sporty sedan includes a revised fascia with a blacked-out section between the headlights and the same air intakes as the current Si model. Elsewhere, the car sits on a set of bespoke wheels with a sporty spoke design.
Rounding out the exterior touches made include a black roof, black wing mirrors, a rear spoiler, a custom rear bumper, and a central tailpipe.
It’s impossible to know what powertrain the next-generation Civic Si could have but the current model uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder producing 205 hp and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque.
Of course, the Si won’t be the flagship model as that will instead by the new Civic Type R. This variant has been spied testing under thick camouflage and also spawned some life-like renderings of its own. While the design will be slightly more restrained than the current FK8 Type R, it is still shaping up to be a very eye-catching car.
