Niels van Roij Design introduced the Silver Spectre Shooting Brake earlier this year and now the company has released new details about the model.
Based on the Rolls-Royce Wraith, the coupe has been reborn as a luxurious three-door that recalls the “heydays of shooting brakes in the 1930’s.”
As part of the transformation, the car has been given a long flowing roof, a thick rear pillar and a unique greenhouse which is trimmed in satin silver. However, the company is most proud of the rear end as they said the “audacious, sculptural detailing” commands attention, while the “wide and low rear glass is set deeply into the bodywork linking [the Silver Spectre to] British coachbuilt vehicles and providing a sense of occasion and pedigree.”

Moving into the cabin, the Silver Spectre has been equipped with a handmade “Infinity Starlight” headliner which features nearly 2,000 lights. They required “dozens of hours to be installed” and “fade out towards the back, giving the impression of a truly endless starlit sky.”
Of course, that wasn’t the only change as the shooting brake design required modifications to the luggage compartment. It’s wrapped in padded leather which compliments the interior and features storage pockets on the sides. The car also has two individual rear seats which are said to offer “generous” space.
The Wraith’s twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 engine carries over, but has been upgraded to produce 690 hp (515 kW / 700 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Niels van Roij Design didn’t say how fast the model is, but the standard Wraith can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds, before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Production will be limited to seven units and each will have a “bespoke and strikingly unique design theme.” On the outside, the model can be equipped with a single or two-tone paint job as well as pinstripes applied by hand. Interior customizations are more extensive as customers can select from an assortment of highly polished woods as well as personalized tread plates and embroidered headrests.
