A Peugeot 406 driver in Australia has been filmed slamming into a Holden Commodore while illegally overtaking several vehicles on the wrong side of the road.
The first video was filmed from the front of the bright blue Commodore and shows it pulling across the road into the owner’s driveway. As the driver makes the turn, the silver Peugeot suddenly comes into view and slams into the right front quarter of the Holden, propelling the French sedan into the air and skidding down the road.
From this angle alone, it’s difficult to tell what exactly happened and why the Peugeot was on the wrong side of the road. Fortunately, both front and rear-facing cameras of a Hyundai Santa Fe captured the crash in full.

In the second video, the Santa Fe passes the Holden in the opposite lane and is confronted with the sight of the silver Peugeot speeding towards them. The Hyundai driver quickly swerves out of the way of the Peugeot, but the silver sedan’s driver wasn’t able to avoid the turning Holden.
The crash is extremely frightening and could have been so much worse, particularly if the Peugeot and the Hyundai collided head-on.
We haven’t been able to find any local news stories about the incident, so it’s hard to know if anyone was injured in the crash. There’s no doubt police would have attended the scene and will come down hard on the Peugeot driver for their reckless behavior behind the wheel.
