Pininfarina has teamed up with Green Motion to launch a customizable wallbox aimed at owners of the Battista hypercar.

Dubbed the Residenza, it will bring an added element of personalization to the ownership experience, as it is inspired by the electric hypercar and can be finished in the same exterior color.

The home charger offers 22 kW AC charging in Europe and 7.2 kW in North America, and is made using recycled and organic materials. The 120 kWh lithium-ion battery of the Battista can, according to Pininfarina, be charged in six hours, which will give it a 500-km (310-mile) WLTP range. For Europeans, it will be supplied with a tethered Type 2 cable, and on this side of the pond, with a tethered Type 1 cable (Mode 3).

The Residenza wallbox can be controlled via a dedicated app that allows owners to remotely schedule charging, monitor its status and view the charging history. The app is integrated with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

With charging at home covered, Pininfarina is also offering owners of the Battista five years of unlimited public charging at no extra cost through another partnership, this time with ChargePoint. The latter’s network includes approximately 115,000 places to charge an EV in Europe and North America, and over 133,000 charging spots via collaborations with other charging network providers. The 180 kW DC system will allow the hypercar’s battery to charge from 20 to 80 percent in 25 minutes.

“Our clients will love the thrill of Battista’s extreme electrified performance, yet they also need to enjoy living with this advanced technology. For that reason, we have ensured there are a comprehensive number of public charging points available to them, made possible through our collaboration with ChargePoint”, said Pininfarina’s Chief Product and Engineering Officer, Paolo Dellacha. “At the same time, a large portion of Battista’s charging will be done at home, and our exclusive wall box design provides owners with a bespoke solution, finished to their exact taste.”

Packing a Rimac-sourced all-electric powertrain, the Battista has four electric motors that generate a combined 1,900 PS (1,873 HP / 1,397 kW) and 2,300 Nm (1,696 lb-ft) of torque, for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than 2 seconds and a 350 km/h (217 mph) top speed.
