Restored 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Is Good Old American Iron

A 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer that has been comprehensively restored is looking for a new home.

Chevrolet first introduced the K5 Blazer back in 1969 as a rival to the Ford Bronco and it proved popular and quickly gained a cult following. While the Blazer name is still used by General Motors, the current model is a far cry from the original.

The Bring A Trailer listing reveals that this Blazer was acquired by the seller in 2018 after a restoration that saw the off-roader repainted in Hugger Orange and white. As part of the restoration, the chassis, engine and differential were all overhauled.

Moreover, the 350 cubic-inch V8 got from a refurbished carburetor, as well as a new air conditioning compressor, condenser, lines, and hoses. Coupled to the engine is a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case that can send power exclusively to the rear or to all four wheels.

Complementing the eye-catching exterior paint are replacement bumpers, mirrors, lights, glass, exterior trim, rocker panels, rocker boxes, body seals and body mounts. The removable white single wall hardtop was also refinished and the Blazer has a 4-inch suspension lift and sits on 15-inch wheels with 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires.

The K5 Blazer’s interior has also been refreshed and sports new carpeting, seat covers, front bucket seats, and a rear bench seat upholstered in black vinyl. There’s also an upgraded audio system with Bluetooth and a JF Audio subwoofer.
