The 2021 Bronco is already shaping up to be a runaway success for Ford, but if you are a purist at heart and prefer the original, this 1968 example could be right up your alley.

The off-roader was subject to a comprehensive refurbishment that started in 2016 and took four years to complete. It is currently available for auction in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and will be sold with all refurbishment records and photos, as well as a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

As part of the restoration and modification process, the Bronco was stripped back to its frame which was then sandblasted, primed and repainted. In addition, the front and rear axles and transmission were rebuilt. The Bronco is also rocking a 289 cubic-inch V8 with an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, a new wiring harness and a new alternator. An electric fuel pump and a replacement 23-gallon fuel tank have also been fitted.

The exterior is painted in a dark shade of blue and is complemented by flared wheel arches, aftermarket front and rear bumpers, tubular running boards, a 3.5-inch suspension lift and 15-inch polished wheels with 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. The Bring A Trailer listing also mentions the Bronco has removable doors and a replacement black Rampage soft stop.

In the cabin there are high-back bucket seats clad in gray water-resistant cloth, a color-matched dash, black carpets, and carpeted floor mats with Bronco embroidery. Finally, the classic Bronco has been driven for just 30 miles (48 km) since the restoration.
