The LEVC TX taxi was recently given a luxurious makeover in China by Lorinser and now things have been taken up a notch in the UK.

Say hello to the Sutton VIP Class LEVC taxi, quite possibly the most luxurious London taxi ever made. Crafted by Sutton Bespoke, the tuning arm of luxury car dealer Clive Sutton, the VIP Class LEVC will be made in a limited run for those who want “to travel discreetly about town in unrivaled comfort.”

Based on the LEVC TX electric range-extender black cab, the Sutton VIP Class LEVC taxi has a fully redesigned interior, with rear seats angled for comfort, featuring Sandalwood leather with Alcantara trim.

Instead of the stock vehicle’s hard-wearing rubber flooring, Sutton Bespoke has fitted a high-quality thick-pile carpet, while hand-crafted wood veneers adorn the door trims. Other changes include a panoramic roof and an ambient lighting system. Soft-close doors can also be specified.

The interior is high-tech too, offering occupants access to haptic climate controls, an upgraded stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity, a TV tuner with Apple TV, and a Sony PS4 gaming console. Between the rear passengers there is a new armrest complete with cupholders, with a refrigerator behind it.

The rear passenger compartment is separated from the driver area by a retractable screen, which has the role of affording privacy as well as making the vehicle more COVID-secure. Furthermore, the driver benefits from a fully electrically adjustable leather seat and a digital instrument cluster.

Seen from the outside, the Sutton VIP Class LEVC taxi looks almost like any other London black cab. The main distinguishing feature is the subtle two-tone livery with black taxi paint for the lower half of the body and Ferrari ‘Grigio Silverstone’ grey for the upper half. The taxi sign on the roof stays, although the ‘TAXI’ lettering will be replaced by ‘VIP’.
