Tiff Needell was unceremoniously dropped from Fifth Gear last year, but he’ll be returning to television next month.
Set to star in a new show on ITV called “Lovecars: On the Road,” the series is based on the Lovecars YouTube channel and will also feature Paul Woodman.
The show will consist of six one-hour episodes that features over 50 vehicles including everything from a Piaggio Ape to a Pagani Zonda Cinque. Promo footage and pictures also suggests we can expect to see the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, Ariel Nomad, Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. We can also expect to see the Ford GT, Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Taycan – just to name a few.

While a lot of details remain under wraps, it appears the show will feature a mix of comparison tests, drag races and adventures. In particular, promo footage shows a drag race between a Tesla Model S and Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. Teasers also hint at a three way comparison between the Alpine A110, BMW M2 and Porsche 718 Cayman.
Besides the cars, the series will feature a number of guests including former Stig Ben Collins as well as racers Oliver Webb and Vicky Piria. In an apparent effort to appeal to a younger audience, the show will also feature a handful of online personalities and influencers.
In a statement, Needell said “This show has been made for everyone who loves cars and enjoys motoring adventures.” He added, “We travelled the world to bring our audience the very latest, greatest and rarest cars, all available on ITV4 this winter. It’s been an amazing journey to get here – I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.”
Lovecars: On the Road will air Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on ITV starting on November 12th. A second season is already under consideration, but nothing has been decided as of yet.
