The new Land Rover Defender is arguably one of the most capable off-roaders currently on sale and yet, despite how capable it is, not everyone has been won over by its looks. This particular example currently up for sale in the UK will probably split even more opinions than the stock model.

This Defender has been modified extensively by Chelsea Truck Company and the first thing that will catch your attention is the bright orange paint across the hood and the front fascia. It is known as ‘Vesuvius’ and adds a splash of color to the British SUV. We’ll let you be the judge of whether or not it improves or detracts from the Defender’s design.

In addition to the orange accents, the Chelsea Truck Company has fitted a set of black 22-inch RS-Forged wheels, as well as a bespoke front bumper with a gloss black grille.

No interior shots have been provided in the Kahn Automobiles listing. However, the Defender is said to feature new perforated leather seats, Vesuvius orange leather over the armrests and transmission tunnel, a Vesuvius interior plaque, black leather across the steering wheel, and a Vesuvius boot plaque.

The listing, which states that this Defender has an asking price of £66,999 ($86,261), makes no mention of any powertrain upgrades or modifications. Thus, this being a 110 P300 model, it features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 296 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque.
