Ram has unveiled the fourth installment of the 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ edition, which sports a maritime land force-inspired theme.
Part of the company’s limited lineup that celebrates America’s five land, sea and air-based forces, the latest addition will launch in Tank and Flame Red exterior colors, each limited to 1,000 units.
Like the rest of the special edition range, it features the U.S. flag and ‘Built to Serve’ decals on the rear quarter panels, body-colored wheel arches and bespoke 20-inch aluminum wheels. It also has a black grille, bumpers, side steps, 4-inch exhaust tips and dark bezel lighting.

In addition to the black interior with Medium Greystone accent stitching, which is exclusive to this fourth installment, the 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ has front seatback panels with special webbing to attach different equipment or pouches and Velcro panels on the front seats so that owners can apply their own patches to further personalize their truck.
“These ‘Built to Serve’ models offer a unique way to honor all those who serve or have served in the United States armed forces with distinction,” said Ram chief Mike Koval Jr. “Whether civilian or military, Ram truck owners are very familiar with this adage as it’s something we strive to build into every truck and van we produce.”
Available on all body styles regardless of the engine, the Ram 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ is ready to venture off the beaten path with heavy duty shocks on all four corners, an electronic-locking rear axle, tow hooks, all-terrain tires, hill-descent control and skid plates protecting the front suspension, steering gear, fuel tank and transfer case.
Order books will open next month and production will commence early next year at the Sterling Heights plant, while the first units will arrive in showrooms in the first quarter of 2021.
