Vauxhall has updated the Corsa and Corsa-e lineup for the new model year in the United Kingdom, and one of the biggest novelties is the introduction of the SRi Nav Premium trim level on the electric hatchback.
Following in the footsteps of its ICE-powered siblings, the Corsa-e SRi Nav Premium adds a dose of sportiness, with the red exterior accents and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also features red interior trim, sports pedals and tinted rear windows.
As with every version of the zero-emission Vauxhall supermini out there, this one retains the 134 HP (136 PS / 100 kW) electric motor, which is fed by the 50 kWh battery. It supports 100 kW fast charging, taking 30 minutes to be juiced up to 80 percent, and with the battery fully charged, it offers a range of up to 209 miles (336 km).
Review: 2020 Opel Corsa SRi Sounds Hot, But It Ain’t Even Warm
Besides the introduction of the SRi Nav Premium, the Corsa-e’s grades have been renamed for 2021. The lineup kicks off with the £26,640 ($35,544) SE Nav Premium, followed by the SRi Nav Premium and Elite Nav Premium, with the latter retailing from £30,045 ($40,088). All prices include the £3,000 ($4,003) government plug-in car grant.
The petrol and diesel variants of the Corsa are offered in the SE, SE Premium, SRi, SRi Premium, Elite, Elite Nav, Elite Nav Premium and Ultimate Nav trim levels. Pricing starts at £16,440 ($21,935) and goes up to £28,105 ($37,499) for the range-topper, with the 128 HP (130 PS / 96 kW) 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Key changes include the introduction of the aforementioned power unit on the SRi and Ultimate Nav, helping them hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 8.2 seconds, and the LED front fog lamps, LED taillights, dusk-sensing headlights and 17-inch two-tone wheels on the SRi models. The Elite spec is also new for 2021.
