It took Genesis a little while to launch its first SUV but finally, the GV80 has landed in the United States. Has it been worth the wait?

As mentioned in this review from Doug DeMuro, Genesis launched with the G70, G80, and G90. While all three are good cars, they are sedans and we all know what has happened with sedan sales in recent years. With that in mind, the GV80 will likely prove to be the automaker’s most popular and important model.

DeMuro starts off his review with a look at the autonomous parking feature that allows drivers to drive the GV80 in and out of a parking space with a simple click on the remote. We then get to take an in-depth look at the interior of the SUV.

For starters, the YouTuber is full of praise with the layout of the second- and third-rows of the GV80. The seats of both rows can be lowered at the touch of a button found in the rear. Third-row passengers also have two cup holders, individual air vents, a small storage cubby, and electronically adjustable backrests. He is also impressed with all of the premium materials used in the third row.

These materials are found throughout the rest of the SUV, making it a very luxurious and sophisticated place to spend time, even though the example tested by DeMuro was only a mid-trim level variant.

The second video featured below comes from Motor Trend and while it isn’t a review per se, it does offer an interesting perspective of the GV80 during a recent photoshoot at Pikes Peak.
