Bentley has hosted its first live driving event since February at a hotel in Northamptonshire, England, following the strict Covid-19 protocols, including antigen testing for the staff, on-site temperature checking, mandatory facemasks and disinfection of every car after each use.
Named the ‘Toy Box’, the event allowed guests to check out a rare selection of cars, such as the 1952 R-Type Continental, one of only 208 built, a 2003 Continental R Mulliner Final Series, 1/11, the first-gen Continental Supersports, made in 2012 and registered especially for this occasion, and the 2019 Pikes Peak Continental GT that that broke the hill climb record for production cars last year.

The supercharged 4½-litre Blower was also on stage, represented by a road-going homologation demonstrator from 1930, alongside the Mulliner Bacalar and the Speed 8 that won the Le Mans back in 2003. Completing the family were the Coupe, Convertible, V8 and W12 versions of the Continental GT, the GT Mulliner, facelifted Bentayga, latest iteration Flying Spur W12 and the Mulsanne, Bentley’s discontinued flagship saloon.
A fleet of first-iteration Bentayga Hybrids chauffeured guests to the specially designed off-road course, where they were able to put the Bentayga V8 through its paces, which included wading through deep water, side angles up to 32 degrees and steep inclines and descents.
To put the spotlight on some of the vehicles that took part in the ‘Toy Box’, Bentley has shared a few images and a short video from the event. So, if you had all the money in the world, which one would you park in your garage?
