Bugatti has been granted a U.S. visa for the Baby II, which made a stop at the Willow Springs International Raceway, allowing a lucky few the opportunity to hop behind the wheel.
A 75 percent scale of the iconic Type 35, the Baby II, which will be made in just 500 examples in partnership with The Little Car Company, will launch in three versions.

The Base will start at $36,600, and will arrive in French Racing Blue with a Black leather interior. The Vitesse will retail from $53,000 and the Pur Sang will set buyers back at least $71,400. The latter two are offered in distinctive vintage colors that pay homage to Bugatti’s memorable racing liveries and drivers, and they will also be available in the color palette of the Chiron, allowing owners to match them with their hypercars. On top of this, the Pur Sang boasts handmade aluminum bodywork.
Targeting different generations of enthusiasts, the Baby II is based on an electric, rear-wheel drive platform, with short- and long-range battery options. In the highest spec, it can be driven for up to 31 miles (50 km), at a maximum speed of 42 mph (68 km/h).
A small amount of the build slots have already been spoken for, Bugatti announced, while the rest have been reserved for their customers, who will be able to buy them on a first-come, first-served basis. Buying the Bugatti Baby II comes with a membership to the Bugatti Owner’s Club and The Little Car Club, allowing owners the chance to drive these EVs on some of the most famous circuits around the world.
