A handful of performance parts have been announced for the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban.
One of the most significant upgrades available for the two new SUVs is an upgraded air intake system that works with both the 5.3-liter V8 and the 6.2-liter V8. This intake costs $625 and is said to reduce restriction by 13 per cent when fitted to the 5.3-liter and 17 per cent with the 6.2-liter engine.

General Motors is also offering a catback exhaust system for the Tahoe and Suburban that reduces backpressure by up to 30 per cent and is available with either a single tip or dual tips. Not only does this exhaust improve the soundtrack, it also adds 7 hp and 4 lb-ft to the 6.2-liter V8 and 4 hp and 2 lb-ft to the 5.3-liter V8. It is priced at $2,145 for the dual tip system and $1,645 for the single tip system, GM Authority reports.
Last, but not least, Chevrolet Performance is offering upgraded brakes for the Tahoe and Suburban, with six-piston red Brembo calipers at the front that clamp down on large Duralife discs. Pricing for the front brakes sits at $2,895 while the rear brakes are priced at $575.
“This core group of Chevrolet Performance upgrades are designed to help increase horsepower, reduce airflow restriction and enhance brake system thermal capacity, all without voiding your New Vehicle Limited Warranty,” the company says. “Whichever Chevrolet Performance parts you choose, rest assured that they are seamlessly integrated with your vehicle right from design stage for fit, appearance and compatibility.”
