The famed Bizzarrini brand is being revived thanks to a luxury car dealer group in the UK.
Bizzarrini was established by former Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Iso engineer Giotto Bizzarrini in 1964 and, for a few years, produced a handful of sports cars and race cars. It even raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in more recent decades, has also been involved in the creation of a handful of concept cars.
Autocar reports that the company could soon return to its former glory. Pegasus Brands has revealed that it is reviving the brand and will do so with three former Aston Martin executives.

Heading up the company will be Dr Ulrich Bez, who was the chief executive of Aston Martin from 2000 through to 2013. He will be joined by chief executive Christopher Sheppard who formerly served as the boss of Aston Martin Middle East North Africa, while former Aston Martin marketing executive Janette Green has been appointed as chief marketing officer.
Details about the revival are limited at this early stage, but it is understood that the company will have bases in London, Geneva, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Giotto Bizzarrini secured his first job in the automotive world in 1953 as an engineer and driver at Alfa Romeo, shortly after he presented a custom 1952 Fiat 500 Maccienetta Berlinetta as his thesis at his graduation. Before long, he was hired by Ferrari. In 1961, he was hired by Ferruccio Lamborghini to design the automaker’s first bespoke engine and ended up creating the 3.5-liter V12 all-aluminum powertrain that served as the basis for the engine of the Miura, Countach and Murcielago.
