Hertz has announced the expansion of its monthly vehicle subscription service across the US, offering customers an alternative way of having a car without the long-term commitment.
The service is called Hertz My Car and offers three all-inclusive subscription tiers that include a wide range of vehicles to fit different budgets and needs. All the subscription services include maintenance, liability, and premium roadside assistance.

“We’re excited to expand Hertz My Car nationwide to give customers the ultimate flexibility and convenience when it comes to their daily travels,” said Laura Smith, Hertz Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Customer Experience. “Since launching in Austin and Atlanta last year, we’ve seen growth in the program locally and greater interest in other markets.
Hertz’s subscription service starts with the Tier One, priced at $599 (taxes excluded), which includes economy, compact and mid-size sedans. Tier Two is priced at $999 (taxes excluded) and that offers you access to a selection of full-size sedans, small SUVs, and trucks. Last but not least, we get Tier Three, which includes luxury sedans, regular SUVs, and large trucks for $1,399 (taxes excluded).
Hertz gives subscription customers the ability to exchange their vehicle for another make or model within their tier twice a month. The all-inclusive subscriptions in Tier Two and Three also cover vehicle damage in addition to maintenance, liability, and premium roadside assistance. Tier One customers can also add the vehicle damage cover for an additional fee.
“Hertz My Car subscribers told us they like the flexibility of the program and the fact they can swap vehicles twice per month at no additional cost,” added Smith. “They also said they wanted to pick up and return at other locations, which helped support our decision to expand across the country. To enable even more people to enjoy Hertz My Car, we also introduced a third tier at a lower price point of $599 per month.”
