Hot on the heels of the unveiling of the US-spec Tucson, Hyundai has teased the upcoming Tucson N Line.
One of four new N and N Line models set to arrive before the end of 2022, the Tucson N Line features a more aggressive front bumper with a larger air intake. We can also see a rounded silver skid plate and slimmer supports beneath the headlights.
The sporty styling continues further back as there are two-tone alloy wheels and body-color cladding. The model also sports N Line badging as well as a unique bumper and a dual exhaust system.
Hyundai didn’t say much about the model, but it will likely use the same turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that powers the Sonata N Line. If that’s the case, we can expect the crossover to have 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque.
Elantra N Promises Performance To Match Its Looks
If sedans are more your thing, you’re in luck as Hyundai also teased the upcoming Elantra N. Designed to slot above the Elantra N Line, the fully fledged performance variant has a more aggressive front fascia with unique air intakes.
Other highlights include sportier side skirts and sizeable wheels which cover N-branded calipers. The high-performance model will also be distinguished by a sporty diffuser, a unique rear wing and a massive dual exhaust system.
Specifications remain unconfirmed, but the model is rumored to have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine sourced from the Veloster N. If this pans out, we can expect an output of up to 275 hp (205 kW / 279 PS).
Two More N Models On The Horizon
The Elantra N and Tucson N Line will be followed by two additional models that Hyundai is keeping under wraps. However, one of them will be a fully fledged N model as their “plan includes three image-leading purist N models such as [the] Veloster N and Elantra N.”
While nothing is official, the company could be talking about the Kona N and Kona N Line. The latter was unveiled in South Korea in September and it features a sportier exterior with unique fascias, body-color cladding and special 18-inch alloy wheels.
In the model’s home market, the Kona N Line has a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 195 hp (146 kW / 198 PS) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm) of torque. The Kona N, on the other hand, is expected to use the aforementioned 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with up to 275 hp (205 kW / 279 PS).
