Misano Blue BMW Z4 With AC Schnitzer Tweaks Is A Looker

Nowadays, when we hear BMW and the number ‘4’ in the same sentence, it’s mostly because of the all-new 4-Series and its controversial massive grille.

The Z4 roadster tends to get lost in the shuffle, especially since it was never a high-volume car for BMW anyway. Through the first three quarters of 2020, the German brand sold 2,175 Z4s in the U.S. – pretty much the same as the year before.

Moreover, there have been whispers within the industry that point to the Z4’s demise, and if that happens, we’re pretty sure that at least some driving enthusiasts will feel a sense of loss. Either way, we can still enjoy a solid Z4 spec when we see one, and this particular model on display in Abu Dhabi really stands out thanks to its AC Schnitzer kit as well as its painjob.

The add-ons consist of a custom front splitter, a set of side skirts and a two-piece rear spoiler. There’s no word on whether or not the car also features the German tuner’s power kit, which takes the Z4 M40i’s 3.0-liter turbo straight-six to 394 HP (400 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque.

In stock form, you get 382 HP going to the rear wheels courtesy of an 8-speed ZF automatic, which can get you from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds. The 2021 BMW Z4 M40i starts at $63,700 in the U.S.

As for this particular configuration, the Misano Blue Metallic exterior is a $550 option, while the Moonlight Black soft top is another $250 – and if you want this Magma Red interior with black contrast stitching, that’ll be an extra $1,700.
