Kia’s new design philosophy has already given us vehicles like the Seltos, Telluride, K5 and all-new Sorento. Soon, it will be time for the outgoing Sportage to receive a major update as well.
YouTuber and designer Hitekro has created a rendering that imagines how the next-generation Sportage might look like. Needless to say, if the actual product ends up looking anything like this, it will turn many heads.

A recent spy shot of the new Sportage, which is included in this video, previewed a revolutionary front end with a sharp new headlight design sharing virtually nothing in common with the current model. Admittedly, it’s a little hard to see what is going on beneath the camouflage of the prototype, but the designer has imagined the new SUV with a large, blacked-out tiger-nose grille that certainly gives the compact SUV some serious presence on the road.
Flanking the grille are large headlights and LED daytime running lights that adopt a similar, albeit more subtle, shape to those of the K5 sedan.
The rendering of the 2022 Sportage also sports a number of black parts, including across the lower portion of the front bumper, the wheel arches, rocker panels, wheels, and roof.
Will the new Sportage be anything like this? We highly doubt it. Regardless of how it does look, though, it will certainly be more modern than the current iteration that is starting to feel its age.
