Ex-Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg is a big fan of electric vehicles and has a Rimac C_Two on order. Now, for the first time, he has had the opportunity to put the all-electric hypercar through its paces.
The Croatian startup is still developing the C_Two and while it still has some work to do, is close to perfecting the car. Rosberg seems very impressed with it and isn’t afraid to push it to its limits, scaring Mate Rimac who is sitting in the passenger seat. Even though the clip only offers a cabin view, we can see that Rosberg takes some long sweeping corners really fast.

Providing the car with such remarkable performance are four electric motors that combine to produce 1,888 hp and 1,696 lb-ft (2,300 Nm) of torque. This grunt allows the hypercar to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 1.85 seconds and reach a top speed of 258 mph (412 km/h).
Ordinarily, electric vehicles either offer extraordinary performance or lots of range, but rarely both. However, Rimac’s electric powertrain is so advanced that, despite its mind-boggling performance, the C_Two will be able to travel for 342 miles (550 miles) in the WLTP cycle on a single charge.
Rimac intended to commence customer deliveries of the C_Two this year, but the coronavirus pandemic has forced it to push the car’s launch back until 2021. The C_Two moniker, by the way, won’t be retained for the production model, with an announcement of the official name expected before the end of this year.
