The new Ram 1500 TRX is an absolute beast of a pickup truck and has more than enough grunt to show the ever-popular Ford F-150 Raptor a thing or two.
Powering the 1500 TRX is FCA’s 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 pumping out 702 hp and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. Coupled to this engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission and an off-road-focused four-wheel drive system.
According to Ram, the 1500 TRX can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds using launch control and sprints down the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph (174 km/h).

In this test, The Fast Lane Truck doesn’t appear to have been using the Ram’s launch control, but even so, it proved too much for the F-150 Raptor. Of course, this is no surprise as the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter EcoBoost V6 of the Ford musters up ‘only’ 450 hp.
The video includes a handful of other fun drag races, with the first pitting the Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss against a Ram 1500 Rebel. Powering the Chevy is a 5.3-liter V8 delivering 355 hp while the Ram has a more potent 5.7-liter V8 with 395 hp. With this in mind, it was only natural that the Rebel proved to be the quickest off the line. In the second race, the Rebel attempted to keep up with the F-150 Raptor, but given its power disadvantage, it simply couldn’t.
