It is the worst nightmare of any car enthusiast to have their pride and joy destroyed. It is even worse to have two of your beloved cars totaled by an out-of-control driver when parked on your driveway and have the whole incident captured on film – but that’s exactly what happened to one Reddit user.
This terrifying incident happened on the night of November 5 and, according to the property and Ford Mustang owner, the police were chasing a pickup truck through a residential area when its driver lost control at a T-intersection.

The security camera footage from outside the man’s home shows the pickup initially slam into his Chevrolet pickup parked directly in front of his driveway. However, that wasn’t enough to stop the speeding pickup and it then slammed into the two Mustangs kept under car covers. One was a 1967 Mustang Convertible while the other was an early 1964.5 Mustang Coupe.
Writing on Reddit, the homeowner says that his Chevrolet pickup and two Mustangs were totaled in the crash, but only 2 out of the 3 were insured. He also states that the driver of the pickup fleeing police didn’t have insurance. A newer orange Chevrolet Camaro parked on the street escaped damage.
It remains to be seen if the driver of the pickup suffered any injuries in the crash. Here’s hoping that he wasn’t, and that the owner of the Mustangs is able to be fully compensated for all the damage caused to his vehicles and garage.
