Nissan has started teasing the facelifted version of the Terra before it’s unveiled on November 25.
The current Nissan Terra was revealed back in 2018 and is sold in markets that include the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. It slots between the X-Trail / Rogue and the larger Patrol / Armada. This facelifted model was first teased by Nissan back in May.
This brief teaser video starts off by showing a headlight of the new Terra that includes a sharp daytime running light signature. The clip then previews one of the updated model’s taillights which appear smaller and more stylish than those of the outgoing model and include a new LED signature.

One interesting titbit from the teaser is the fact that it ends with text that reads ‘Nissan X-Perience.’ The teaser was also shared online by Nissan Middle East, prompting speculation that Nissan may launch the facelifted model in the Middle East as the Nissan Xterra, reviving a name that hasn’t been used since the production of the second-generation Xterra ceased in 2015.
As the model being readied is simply a facelift, we don’t expect it to benefit from all that many mechanical upgrades over the current model. As such, it should continue to be based on the global Frontier / Navara model, providing it with respectable off-road credentials. The current model is offered with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 180 HP, a 2.3-liter twin-turbocharged diesel with 188 HP, and a 2.5-liter diesel. These engine options will probably be retained for the updated model.
